…creative storytelling leads the transformation of an entertainment destination into a vibrant and thriving venue

Working with the Disney Imagineers and the Project Architects of Elkus Manfredi, Steve lead in new design, theming, and adaptive-reuse of the Area Development in transitioning Downtown Disney into Disney Springs. Woods lead the Area Development team in the creative space making of the unique neighborhoods within the expansive retail and entertainment property. At its heart, The Springs element included conceptual sculpting and siting of the central water feature with related and contextually themed elements rippling from this source. Site features including paving, lighting, seating, planting, and additional water features were carried through design development and initial contract documents.
